A twilight tour of the so-called Famous and Historic Tree Trail will be conducted on Wednesday at 6:30, for which registration and a workshop fee of $3 is required.

Beginning this week, the Seaport will offer one-hour twilight tours of the grounds at 5:30 P.M. Thursdays and Fridays until Aug. 25.

Tickets for the self-guided walking tours are $35 (a twilight tour is $25); special events begin at $15.

Prices differ according to time of day, with twilight tours being the most expensive.

Another feature offered by the zoo are function facilities including an overnight stay option and twilight tours (Safari Nights) as well as Zoom (behind the scenes) tours.

Barbecu facilities, toilets, picnic lunches, group bookings, twilight tours and overnight camping spots are also available.

A twilight tour, See Washington by Night ($20/10), is offered in season - mid-June through Labor Day (first Monday in September).

An established favourite is Tamaki Maori Village, which does an excellent twilight tour to a marae (meeting house) and Maori village 15km south of Rotorua.
