But they have also put corporate travel managers on the spot.
The travel manager's tougher task, however, is to ask employees to give back bonus miles.
"Some 68 percent of our travel managers predicted there would be more trips at their companies this year than in 2006."
These possible effects are not lost on corporate travel managers.
"There's just a feeling that they want the business more," the travel manager said.
"The travel manager is still an integral part of the process," she said.
In that sense, I think we're helping change travel managers' jobs for the better.
The travel managers are understanding, but only to a point.
But some travel managers do not like the idea.
Among corporate travel managers 60 percent said their companies would support such a plan.
