On February 21, 2013, U of L announced that it would build a new soccer-only stadium on campus.

Now with M.L.S. soliciting for soccer-only stadiums, it is possible that the league could be on the international calendar by 2010.

If all goes as planned, the team will begin playing in a soccer-only stadium in Harrison by 2007.

League officials are fixated with getting soccer-only stadiums built for its teams with mostly public financing.

The leagues could pool their finances, create soccer-only stadiums and play doubleheaders that would appeal to fans of all kinds.

League officials have long said that soccer-only stadiums would enable teams to play in more intimate surroundings and provide additional revenue.

And the hoped-for Holy Grail of a new soccer-only stadium is at least a couple of years away.

This is the largest soccer-only stadium in Asia, accommodating 64,677 spectators at once.
