"My father began a shoe business in 1921," he said.

"The shoe business is too difficult to go with a fad."

Apparently he was too good for the shoe business.

Shortly after college he joined his father in the shoe business.

And for the shoe business, the world turned upside down.

When the shoe business went bad, the company sold the course to the town of Endicott.
