"If they were to go to 30 percent," he said, "we could potentially see prices around the $325 range."
So the general consensus is we see prices going down at the start of 2012.
"We'd like to see prices restored to the same level."
But down the road we will start to see prices moving up.
But the analysts do not see high prices today as a problem.
While the increase should fix the supply problems, consumers probably will not see lower prices.
"But I don't think you are ever going to see prices like those of 1985," he said.
They could see lower prices, or at least fewer price increases.
"I don't see prices remaining at these high levels," he said.
Some chemical companies say they have already seen slightly higher prices on the spot market.
