The senior female volleyball team took the silver medal in the 2010 provincial tournament.

The primary goal of these teams is to compete in elite ultimate tournaments, especially provincial, national and international championships.

Ten teams qualified for the provincial tournament through several methods.

Since 2000 however, the inter-provincial Litoral competition has taken over and the provincial tournament is no longer played at the superior level.

Twelve teams will qualify for the provincial tournament through several methods.

The best players in the provincial tournaments are selected to join the national team.

In the current format, twelve teams compete in the provincial tournament.

Soccer matches, and various regional, provincial, and national tournaments are held there as well.

These teams have gone on to provincial tournaments and been successful in many regards.

The tournament is divided into four zones which include the qualified teams from each respective provincial tournaments (see below).
