Ms. Chenoweth, who is to play Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, announced her plans on her Web site this week and confirmed them while on a break from filming outside Toronto.

After playing Glinda for nine months, Chenoweth left Wicked, on July 18, 2004, soon joining the cast of The West Wing in Los Angeles.
