The southern wall of the main house retains several original clapboards preserved when the 1712 kitchen ell was added on.

At some point in the later 20th century, aluminum siding was installed on the first story, over the original clapboard.

The current owner put the shakes over the original clapboard.

Both still show their original clapboards and 6/6 sashes.

The house features much of the original beaded clapboard.

The house sits on a fieldstone foundation, and the original clapboard is covered with aluminum siding.

The few remnants of the original clapboard are beaten up, and no glass remains in the windows.

Work on removing siding from the exterior to reveal the original clapboard is under way.

The next phase will be the exterior and include removing the aluminum siding from the house's original white clapboard.

It is sided in the original clapboard and topped with a side-gabled metal roof.
