The school opened with eight rooms from grades 1 to 6.

"Charming House is owned by a great lady, a big art lover, who decided to open a little hotel with seven rooms," he said.

It was first opened at 1992 with 454 rooms.

The hotel opened on 1 February 1879, with 100 rooms and a further 60 unfinished at the time of opening.
