Larmor-Plage was created as a new commune in 1925.
It was suppressed in 1886 and split into two new separate communes:
"I hear she's on Elysium," someone said, "working on a new commune of communes up there."
The commercial opportunities that opened up to the new commune marked the start of a new era of wealth.
A similar course of events transpired in 1185, when Philip Augustus appears to have granted the right to a new commune.
He also became mayor of the new commune of Pleuville, retaining this position until his death in 1829.
In 1839, part of the commune separated to form a new commune, Aulnat.
In 2013 the fusion was made official by the creation of a new commune: Pont-de-Roide - Vermondans.
The new united commune with a population of approximately 15,300 people over a territory of 9.2 km2, was rejected by the population in November 2007.
From this time, the new commune warred against nearby cities to enlarge its territory.
