The old neighborhood favorite cops and robbers has also come under attack.

"There is no way that neighborhood could have come back on its own."

The neighborhood has come a long way in the past five years.

"I basically toughed out living here and watched the entire neighborhood come back to life," he said.

Over the last decade the neighborhood has come to life as a center for publishing and advertising.

"Whenever there are large groups of other races moving in, people consider the neighborhood 'coming up,"' she says.

I mean, it's a good thing that the neighborhood is coming up, but you got people here who've been through it all.

We believe the neighborhood is coming back; it just takes investment.

So the neighborhoods that were starting to run down are coming back.

She added: "Now, you get the feeling that life is worth living again because our neighborhood is coming back to us."
