The starting point for Fotopoulos's work is that the world faces a multi-dimensional crisis (economic, ecological, social, cultural and political) which is caused by the concentration of power in elites, as a result of the market economy, representative democracy and related forms of hierarchical structure.

If that case is set aside for the first time in the past 20 years, more than 50% of the Somali people's problem is sorted, and the rest, IE, the multi-dimensional crisis of the former Italian Somalia will be sorted in one way or the other.
