Here's how the change will affect the main BBC homepage - my colleague Ian Hunter explains:

A significant proportion of traffic is referred to BBC News and BBC Sport from the main BBC homepage - 44% and 35% to each respectively during July of 2011.

Since my last post in November we have released several new elements to the main BBC Radio homepage and this blog post will briefly explain what is new, and how we are starting to build the new radio and music product.
