The company lost 116 billion yen ($968 million) in the same period a year ago.
The company lost 88.76 billion yen ($691 million) in the year that ended March 31 even though revenue increased 2.1 percent.
But the company said its TV business still lost 89.3 billion yen ($795 million).
Still, over that time they lost 1.6 trillion yen - about $13.5 billion at current exchange rates.
The company expects to lose 10 billion yen for the full year.
The company lost 1.82 billion yen in the period last year.
Mitsubishi lost 31.5 billion yen in the period last year.
Nomura lost 104 billion yen in the period a year ago.
The company expects to lose 25 billion yen in the full year to March 2002, the third consecutive loss.
It lost 23.3 billion yen ($190.8 million) on similar sales last year.
