Initially intended to provide feedback to NAPHA's Executive Committee, it soon became an anxiously awaited listing of favorite parks and attractions by an experienced group of amusement park visitors.

Its listing of attractions nationwide includes zoos, water parks and botanical gardens, but it is by no means complete - the Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden are not included.

Each section has a state-by-state rundown of areas of prime tourist interest, followed by listings of specific attractions, such as museums, zoos, arboretums, public buildings and historic homes.
