"I am finding the delivery of information in stipulations, letters and phone numbers much too rapid to record on paper," the juror wrote.

"We suddenly feel pressured and in a very real sense even punished, simply because we have not rushed to a conclusion," the jurors wrote.

"I am not a proponent of the death penalty," the juror who answered 2 wrote.

The juror should write a letter to the chief judge of the court requesting an excuse with an explanation of hardship.

One juror, he said, wrote him a note charging another with bringing a "previous bias" into the jury room.

In the past, jurors have occasionally written books or magazine articles giving first-hand accounts of important trials.

Yet another prospective juror wrote simply: "My cat threw up on the form."

I wouldn't mess with her," one juror wrote on a questionnaire.

The twelve jurors were all writing very busily on slates.

Most of today's court time was devoted to having the prospective jurors write answers to 69 questions prepared by lawyers on both sides.
