Mr. Hopple was born on a farm in Crawford County, Ohio.

Hopple belonged to the Masons, Knights of Pythias, and Cleveland Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Hopple, 47, succeeds Clayton E. Wilhite, 49, who will take new responsibilities as a vice chairman, developing new technologies.

She also was a two-time mixed doubles finalist: in 1908 with William Hopple, and in 1910 with P. Lincoln Mitchell.

"Interactive isn't going to go away," Mr. Hopple asserted, "so the need for interactive skills isn't going to go away."

For the 82nd General Assembly, 1917-1918, Hopple was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives, where he was selected Speaker.

With a change in leagues, another Head Coach stepped in for Mr. Hopple by the name of Ralph Tolbert.

The restaurant left its old location and moved to a site a few lots away in 2000, after being told to vacate by the city in order to widen Hopple Street.

Richard V. Hopple, Unicast's chief executive, said he decided to release the company's "video commercial" technology now because high-speed connections - known as broadband - have reached significant numbers.

He also assumes responsibilities for D.M.B.& B.'s operations in Canada from Mr. Hopple.

And Mr. Sherman will relinquish his post as managing director of the New York office; Mr. Hopple will assume it on an interim basis.
