But the student would have $850 less to use for other expenses.
She was given $50 for the year's expenses and told to make it last.
Any money left over is paid to the student for other expenses.
"They probably put something in there for other environmental expenses."
She said most of that money went to pay for expenses.
In addition, the association received $2 million from the state for its legal expenses.
"Better take a little of this back with us for current expenses," the major said.
Texas said its $2 million would go into the state's fund for general expenses.
But the best part is, except for expenses, the kids didn't keep any.
"We just took out enough for current expenses and put the rest in a safe place."
