Just after crossing the small community, Route 423 enters an interchange with Interstate 380.

The parkway then enters exit 42, an interchange for NY 117 and Railroad Avenue.

The routes slowly becomes commercial once again, passing a large industrial building before entering an at-grade interchange with CR 574 (Jamison Road).

It would have entered a large interchange with U.S. Route 130 and an access route to Friendship Road.

Just after that change, the route enters an at-grade interchange with unsigned NY 930Q, which connects to I-81.

Winding northeast, the parkway enters an interchange with NY 106 (North Newbridge Road).

Not far to the north, the route enters an interchange with NY 481 (exit 14) and meets the nearby southern terminus of CR 6.

The route expands to four lanes, entering an interchange with CR 33 (Hooper Road).

Just northeast of this neighborhood, NY 52 enters an interchange with the Taconic State Parkway.

There, Route 478 enters a partial interchange with Interstate 80, intersecting with the westbound ramps for Exit 45.
