For decades no complete performing edition of the work existed.

Although written for two hundred years beginning in the early 17th century, no single unified edition existed until 1902.

Typical episodes are 45 minutes in length, but thirty minute and hour long editions also exist.

A few different editions of this album existed upon release.

However no modern editions exist, and there are severe textual problems in editing them.

Consequently only a few complete editions exist in their original form.
