The division was reformed as a National Guard formation on 21 April 1947.
Although the division was reformed it did not see active service outside the United Kingdom.
The division was reformed c.2005-2007 after the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The division was reformed from 17 February 1943 onwards in France.
The division was reformed in October 1946 and continued to serve as the London base.
The division was not reformed in the Territorial Army in 1947.
The next time the division would be reformed was for the maneuvers in 1936.
On 10 May 1941, the division was officially disbanded and not reformed.
