In 1996 the district became part the new county of Carmarthenshire.

The district would effectively become part of the 1st District.

The district becomes more and more itself but never quite arrives.

Many districts and landmarks in the city have become well known to outsiders.

But other districts are now becoming more enamored of them.

Also in recent years, the district has become known as a dining destination.

So the district has become more aggressive about seeking private donations.

But by the mid-1960's the district had become dingy and dispirited.

Finally in 1885 the district became part of Detroit proper.

In recent years, the district has become increasingly Democratic.
