His second marriage took place on 8 February 1650 to Lady Frances Howard (c. 1627-1670), daughter of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Berkshire.

Lord Sherborne married Lady Elizabeth Howard (1803-1845), daughter of Thomas Howard, 16th Earl of Suffolk and Hon. Elizabeth Jane Dutton, on June 22, 1826.

Mary Fitzroy (formerly Lady Mary Howard) was the second daughter of Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk: a member of the ambitious Howard Family.

On 23 December 1605, Knollys married Lady Elizabeth Howard (1586-1658), the daughter of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk.

In 1842, the geographic township was formed, named in honour of Lady Maria Howard, wife of Guy Carleton and third daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham.

Dorset married first, in February 1580, Lady Margaret, by then only surviving daughter of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk, then suspected as a crypto-Catholic.
