"Don't expect 100 percent culture change in one year," he said.

But Americans can't expect camps to bring about culture change on their own.

"You're going to see a culture change," he told me, with the confidence of a man used to getting his own way.

Q. What kind of culture change do you need to effect?

It will mean a culture change on the part of traditional universities but that isn't a bad thing in itself.

More recent evidence indicates that the large culture changes were not the result of a foreign invasion.

"Every culture changes, but the question is, what are we going to embrace next?"

"It's quite a culture change to have to let people go and simply trust them to do the work," he said.
