After law school, he clerked for Judge José A. Fusté of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

He first clerked for Judge Arthur Lane of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Following law school, Palmer clerked for Judge Jon O. Newman, then of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

The following year he clerked for Judge Robert Bork of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

From 1961-63, Abrams clerked for Judge Paul Leahy of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

After earning his law degree from Yale, he clerked for Judge Jon O. Newman of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Two years later, he clerked for district judge Luther Youngdahl, a former governor of Minnesota, in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

During his third year he clerked for Honorable David Bazelon, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit.

Jordan clerked for Judge James L. Latchum on the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware from 1984-1985.

After graduation, she clerked for Judge Donald J. Porter of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.
