The base was renamed Syracuse Air Force Station on 1 December 1953.

Originally known as the Midwest Air Depot, the base was renamed in his honor on 13 January 1948.

The base was renamed Hendricks Field on 14 January 1942.

In 1930, the base was renamed Fort Francis E. Warren.

In 1930, the base was renamed Fort D. A. Russell.

The base was renamed in his honor on 29 January 1948.

The base was transferred to Chile in 1984 and renamed Teniente Carvajal.
