Now somebody who doesn't understand the intelligence of the legislative process might say, 'If this is a bad bill, why did you pass it?'

"If we know there's a bad bill, we have the responsibility to change it."
"It's easier to vote yes on a bad bill than to explain a no vote."
"A bad bill is worse than none at all."
In fact, they were eager, calling it a bad bill.
This is a bad bill but a good strategy.
But why spend the rest of our lives firefighting a bad bill.
The result would be both a bad bill and Parliament threatening to go to court citing illegal procedures.
We don't agree with the notion that you pass a bad bill just for the sake of passing something.
