That leaves out his son, Damon, a 16-year old soccer standout at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, where two MetroStars players went to school.

"He was a magician," said Mike Burgess, the head track coach at St. Peter's Prep, where Officer Carson, who was single, often volunteered.
