All allowance allocations and transfers shall, upon recordation by the Administrator, be deemed a part of each unit's or facility's permit requirements pursuant to section 404, without any further permit review and revision.

Prior to June 1, 1998, the Administrator shall publish a revised final statement of allowance allocations, subject to the provisions of section 414(a)(2).

Such allowance allocation shall be in lieu of any allocation of allowances under this section and section 414.

Such election shall apply to the annual allowance allocation for each and every unit in the operating company subject to the emissions limitation requirements of this subsection.

Should allowance allocations be updated, and if so, how frequently?

A partial or temporary closure will not usually affect your annual allowance allocations, but you should check with your regulator before these closures take place.

It assumes for cost-of-service areas (where most of power sales are likely to occur) that allowance allocations will not alter pricing of electricity.

Amendment No 43 is very important as it allows Member States to benchmark the best available technology for allowance allocation.
