Add the stock to the pan and return to the boil.
Add a little more oil to the pan and turn the heat to low.
Add the carrots to the same pan along with a little more oil if necessary.
Add 1 cup of water to the pan and bring to a simmer.
If necessary, add just enough additional oil to the pan to film the bottom.
Add some ice to the pan, and fill it with cold water.
Add the pork to the pan and cook for two to three minutes on each side.
Increase the heat to high, add the meat to the pan and brown it on all sides.
Add cup water to the pan and bring to a simmer over high heat.
Add the rice to the pan and stir for 2 minutes.
