Add star anise, cinnamon stick, garlic and hot pepper flakes.
Add pepper flakes, tomatoes (with their liquid) and 1/4 cup water.
Add pepper flakes if desired, and stir in remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
Add the tomatoes, pepper flakes and the reserved clam juice.
Check again for seasonings, adding more salt and hot pepper flakes if needed.
Add hot pepper flakes and saute for 15 seconds.
If you like, add a little more red pepper flakes.
Add the cooked rice, pepper flakes, parsley, almonds and half of the cheese.
Heat the oil in a large skillet, and add the broccoli and pepper flakes.
I like the mixture a little piquant, so I've added hot pepper flakes.
