The rate works out to be about 7 homicides per million workers for the one year.
Hillsborough County had been averaging about 30 to 35 homicides per year in the eighties.
"Right now there are about 35 homicides per year in Boston, down from 151 in 1991," he said.
In the early 1990's, during the crack wars, there were about 80 homicides a year there.
While they process about 380 homicides a year, 500 to 600 other homicides are committed.
