"Maybe someone will come along and beat our record," Wells said.
For a passage of some little time, Wells said nothing.
"When things happen like that, you have to think of it as a business," Wells said.
"I would like to know before the end of the year," Wells said.
Remember, Wells has said that he does not get nervous.
"I don't think a lot of people expected me to last this long," Wells said.
Wells, 40, has said he wants to play another year, but his first decision could be whether to have an operation.
"We all want to go out on top," Wells was saying before the game.
Wells said, however, that he did not plan to stop using it.
"This is the best my back has felt in a couple of months," Wells said.
