Walker recalled the accident in a 2008 interview, "We got about 200 yards from the submarine, and the boat blew up.
"We had a unique relationship," Walker recalled.
"In the first few years, there was absolutely nothing going on here," recalls Walker, seated in his spacious Georgetown law office.
Walker recalls, "He gave us continuity of place, without which community is ephemeral.
"An undercover officer told me there were four gang factions interacting together at a practice," Walker recalled.
Walker himself was invulnerable in 2011, because Wisconsin law prohibits recalls for one year after elections.
"He was too concerned about the atmosphere around him instead of just concentrating on his game," Walker recalled.
"If there's any justice," Walker recalled saying before the season, "this kid is going to have a heck of a year."
Walker recalled, "Some years ago we were doing a dance before an east side audience.
Walker recalls that Henning "was the best receivers coach I ever had."
