Smith, a former exotic dancer who is now a receptionist in an accounting firm, testified Carruth did not believe he would be held accountable for Adams's shooting.
Smith also testified that Carruth had admitted to her that he was at the scene of the shooting.
"I answered all the questions exactly like I thought he'd want to hear them answered," Smith testified.
