The command staff of the 87th Rifle Corps was brought back to the continent.

The division was part of the 35th Rifle Corps, 9th Army.

During the war it fought with the 6th, 7th, 98th, 108th, and 112th Rifle Corps.

Three or four Rifle Corps would make a breakthrough along a front of 30 kilometres.

The 2nd Rifle Corps was stationed in the district from 1922 to 1936.

By this time 28, 29 and 4th Guards Rifle Corps were part of the army.

Since 1935 as chief of staff of 16th Rifle Corps.

On 1 September 1943 the division was part of the 57th Rifle Corps.

The rest of the 8th Army included the 124th and 112th Rifle Corps.

The treatment of soldiers in the new Rifle Corps was markedly different from the line infantry.
