After the panel voted to recommend approval, Pfizer shares closed yesterday at $26.51, up 21 cents.
In after-hours trading, Pfizer shares rose more than 11 percent.
Pfizer shares have risen 16 percent this year but are still down by almost half from the highs they set six years ago.
In heavy trading on Monday, Pfizer shares fell $1.46, or 5.6 percent, to close at $24.29.
Since the bid was announced last Thursday, Pfizer shares have dropped 9 percent.
Pfizer shares fell 11 cents today to close at $40.41.
Yesterday, Pfizer shares gained $1.74, to close at $24.32.
Pfizer shares, which have been among the worst-performing of any major drug company over the last five years, will probably open sharply lower today.
Earlier in the day, Pfizer shares fell to $27.20, a 52-week low.
Pfizer shares were off 33 cents for the day, closing at $32.
