The area was home to at least 6000 Chinese people in the 1980s and was centered around Ontario Street.

The main route through the district is NY 470, which follows Ontario Street.

Ontario Street was later extended in stages toward both the east and west.

Although it had been known as Ontario Street since 1842, the name was made official in 1867.

Today's Ontario Street continues several blocks eastward, through the site of that old park.

The paper was initially published from an office on St. Lawrence near Ontario Street.

It was soon moved to the former School No. 4 building on Ontario Street.

The building at 25-31 Ontario Street was built in 1925, and forms a U-shape.
