Each year the school has about thirty National Merit Scholars.
Harvard also enrolled 266 National Merit Scholars, the most in the nation.
Until this year, only those 2,500 winners had the right to call themselves National Merit Scholars.
The 2007-08 school year featured three National Merit Scholars amongst the class of 2008.
