DeBerg led a 67-yard scoring drive on his first series, and went on to complete 18 of 27 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, a performance for which he was named NFC Player of the Week.

He was also voted the NFC Player of the Year by the Washington D.C. Touchdown Club.

He was awarded NFC Player Of The Week on Week 5 and 17.

After the 2006 season ended, he was named the NFC Player of the Month for December and was a finalist for 2006 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year.

He was named the NFC Player of the Month for November when he compiled 56 tackles and two sacks in four games.

In 1986 (8 sacks), 1987 (7 sacks), and 1988 Jeter performed exceptionally well in his role, getting a career-high 11 sacks in 1988, including 5 in one game against the Los Angeles Raiders on September 18, 1988, for which he was awarded the NFC Player of the Week.

Kolb started for two games in place of the injured Donovan McNabb during the 2009 NFL season for the Eagles, and earned NFC Player of the Week honors following his week 3 performance against the Kansas City Chiefs.
