"We've been doing this for 10 years, and our interest is only growing," Mrs. Bloom said.
"Water exerts a universal pull on humanity" Mrs. Bloom said.
Bargemusic has changed a good deal since Mrs. Bloom started it 13 years ago.
"I have turned some of the administration of the barge over to these four young musicians in order to ensure the future," Mrs. Bloom said.
But Mrs. Bloom still has projects in mind.
"It would look prettier open than with a pool cover," Mrs. Bloom told her.
By late April, Mrs. Bloom was back with a crew of eight docents for training.
"I think it helps if you keep your requests reasonable," said Mrs. Bloom.
Mrs. Bloom acquired the barge, on which she also lived for a time, to fulfill a longtime dream.
"The musicians all have experience with the music," Mrs. Bloom said.
