Morris Brown, a historically black college, lost its accreditation in 2002 for financial mismanagement.

Morris Brown quickly appealed the revocation, and has continued to limp along with about 1,400 students, slightly more than half of its usual enrollment.
Eighty percent of the school's 2,500 students received financial aid from the federal government, which gave Morris Brown $8 million a year.
As of January 2009, Morris Brown has 240 students.
But now, Morris Brown may soon be history.
Even struggling Morris Brown doubled its enrollment during the last decade.
"Morris Brown has always had financial problems," he said.
Whether that will be enough to keep Morris Brown solvent while attracting and keeping students is uncertain.
A number of churches, politicians and educators have rallied around Morris Brown.
