"She is like a second mother to me," Miss Lopez said.

"Carolyn is a very special person for me and my mother," Miss Lopez said.

Her thoughts are not of herself, but of Miss Lopez.

"I would like to finish school and become a lawyer," Miss Lopez said.

Miss Lopez will be 21 at the end of the month.
