To the Editor: Re "Patients in Florida Lining Up for All That Medicare Covers" ("Re-examining Medicare" series, front page, Sept. 13): You leave the impression that Medicare gives away health care "for free," to quote a doctor in your article.

To the Editor: Re "Patients in Florida Lining Up for All That Medicare Covers" (front page, Sept. 13): The urologist's office is the last place anyone wants to be, especially when you kill one to two hours in waiting time.
