In 1912, the courses of study were changed to Academic, Agricultural, Mechanic Arts, and Domestic Science.

On July 19, 1866 the trustees appointed Smyth a trustee of the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts.

The alumni created a lobbying group and even enlisted the help U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun, a 1925 graduate of Mechanic Arts.

The chosen school colors, blue and white, were the colors of Mechanic Arts.

Sure enough, the Colorado State College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts sat on the southern border of Fort Collins.

The College of Engineering was founded in 1870 as the Sibley College of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanic Arts.

These institutions focused on providing practical skills, especially "for the benefit of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts".

Mechanic Arts' curriculum (and its building) was incorporated into the new high school, which would allow students from the other high schools to come as shared time students.

Indumil was originally known as National Workshop of Mechanic Arts.
