Henry Davis House of 1875 (15 Manchester Street)
The line between the central city and Christchurch Railway Station along Manchester Street was lifted.
This Company had many years earlier lifted another line running the same route but via Manchester Street.
Diversion in operation - via Manchester Street and Stanley Terrace through the town centre.
Born in Manchester Street, Morpeth, 18 May 1795.
CCC bought the northern part (194 Manchester Street) of the burned out shell in 1920 for their new municipal offices.
The southern half of the old building at 192 Manchester Street opened as the Civic Theatre on 17 March 1928.
Part II of this civic area were supposed to be new civic offices as a replacement for the building in Manchester Street.
Much of the façade collapsed into Manchester Street.
During the 1980s a modern extension was built on Manchester Street to provide additional office space.
