Connections to London are available at either of these two stations, or by changing at Maidstone Barracks and walking to Maidstone East.

Maidstone East railway station is one of three stations in the central area of Maidstone, Kent, but currently the only one with a regular direct service to London.

Following the grouping of mainline rail companies into regional railways in 1923, the Southern Railway undertook electrification as far as Maidstone East in 1939.

Stations prior to Farningham Road (as coming from London Victoria) are served by stoppers on the Swanley to Ashford (via Maidstone East) Line.

After the completion of the Thameslink Programme in 2018 a 2tph service from Maidstone East to Welwyn Garden City is proposed.

Connections to London are available from either Strood or Paddock Wood, or from Maidstone East, a short walk away.

It continues via Borough Green & Wrotham and Maidstone East to Ashford, where it joins the South Eastern Main Line.

The line was electrified in 1939 (750V DC third rail) to Maidstone East by the Southern Railway prior to World War Two.

Electrification between Maidstone East and Ashford was completed in 1961 under the BR 1955 Modernisation Plan.

The journey from London will take around 50 minutes and once at Maidstone East, students are advised to complete their journey to the school by taxi.
