MTV Rocks initially began as M2 in October 1998: the channel had an interactive feel to it.
MTV Rocks began broadcasting in widescreen on 6 March 2012.
MTV Rocks' on-air identity has been produced by Dutch graphic design team PostPanic.
Europe: MTV Rocks, which focused solely on alternative rock and indie, broadcasted from London.
However, MTV Rocks is being offered by several pay-TV services.
They are the first unsigned Northern Ireland artists to be featured on MTV Rocks.
The channel was replaced by MTV Rocks on January 10, 2011.

The video has been aired quite frequently on MTV Rocks, though, as part of their Blur Top 40 list, of which it features at 26.
The channel was replaced with MTV Rocks on 1 March 2010.
