The series was hosted by Jimmy Durante, and stars The Lennon Sisters.

He was the uncle of the Lennon Sisters vocal group on The Lawrence Welk Show.

In 1964, he married Peggy Lennon of the Lennon Sisters, and would have six children along with the three he had from his first marriage.

In 2001 The Lennon Sisters were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
