"It's a matter of hunkering down for the long term; it's going to take a while," Kimball Brown, an analyst with Dataquest, said.

But some analysts, like Kimball Brown of Dataquest, question whether the portable share of the pie will increase that much.

"If this is all there is, it's pretty disappointing," said Kimball Brown, an analyst with Dataquest.
